July 2007 I played for the folks in my hometown at our local amphitheatre.

July 2007 my family took a road trip to the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention in Nashville. We took just a few pictures (there are too many distractions!!). Check out Bob Saxton and Rich Kiser, two seasoned, award-winning Chetpickers. Hundreds of licks to be stolen here.

You can steal licks from Bob; but he will ultimately steal your guitar. Learning from a master...thank you Bob.

Rich and me (me and Rich) trading licks.

I sang 'Wayfaring Stranger' to close out my morning set. My friend and mentor, Tommy Emmanuel (world's greatest guitarist) accompanied me.

Palmer Moore of Ohio Fingerstyle Guitar Club invited me to play an evening show. It was a great time.

I did a demo show for Travis and Susie Williams - very gracious folks. Their booth was in the same room with Kirk Sand; that's an awful lot of kindness and class for one room. Like Kirk, Travis is a master luthier; his guitars are top notch!

I met up with up with Piotr Slapa from Poland. Piotr is a sweet guy and a tremendous player. Piotr came to Nashville to look for work in music.

Craig Pratt is from Georgia; he burns it up!

Michael and I traded songs in the hallway; he is a very coordinated player from Tennessee who has recently delved into Chet stuff.

April 2007 Richard Smith and I did a show at Grossmont College in San Diego. Richard is a MONSTER!

On our way to the Tommy Emmanuel show at Pepperdine University on September 29, 2006 my friend Alex, Mom, and my brother Jameson and I stopped by Kirk Sand's Guitar Shoppe in Laguna Beach. We we were blessed to spend a few minutes with two of the nicest guys in the guitar universe, Kirk Sand and John Knowles, CGP.

Playing for John Knowles my original tribute to Tommy Emmanuel, "Happy Traveler" on a priceless Kirk Sand work of art.

How to learn more about writing and arranging than you ever dreamed: Spend 20 minutes with Tommy Emmanuel. Thanks again Tommy

July 2006 I warmed up Tommy Emmanuel's audience with some music in the lobby at East County Performing Arts Center, El Cajon, California.

Later I was privileged to appear on stage with Tommy. We played "I'll See You In My Dreams."

July 4, 2006 I played a fundraiser for the Armed Services YMCA. We bragged about our troops, honored active duty and retired folks with gifts, and raised over $2,500 for the families of wounded soldiers.

June 29, 2006 I played the O'Brien stage at the San Diego (Del Mar) Fair. 30 songs in 95 minutes - Whew!

Doing the sound check.

June 25, 2006 after the show with Jim Earp, we broke down our gear in record time and rushed to catch Richard Smith and Aaron Till with Tom Boyer in El Cajon. Awesome!

June 25, 2006 Jim Earp invited me to play at the Water Conservation Garden Amphitheatre at Cuyamaca College. Thanks to the nice folks who braved the hottest, muggiest day of the year to come out and hear us play. And a special thanks to my great friend Jim.

June 26, 2006 we drove up to Dana Point to see Richard Smith and fiddle virtuoso Aaron Till. These guys are the best.

Friday, June 9, 2006 I had the privilege to promote my July Fourth fundraiser for the families of wounded heroes on mainstream radio. Here I am with Cliff Dumas of Cliff and Company. Thanks to KSON for the opportunity to get the word out, and to Sue with the city of Santee for recommending me.

Here I am doing Jerry Reed's "Jiffy Jam" on a #1 rated mainstream radio show.

February 10, 2006 I appeared as "El Bandito Del Amor" at my church's annual Sweetheart's Banquet. I did a romantic little number about my true love. I called it "Juevos con Chorizo." Anything for a laugh, right?

December 16, 2005, Santee, Ca. I hosted Tom Boyer and Richard Smith in our amphitheatre. We trioed on "Windy and Warm," "Smokey Mountain," and "Cannonball Rag." Temps were in the forties (note the heaters in the pic). I had the time of my life. (Links to Richard and Tom are available on the Music Links page.)

I had the privilege to meet 2003 fingerstyle champ Bob Evans at his show at Bonita Golf Club in October 2005. After the show Bob was gracious enought to pick with me. Here we are doing "Windy and Warm."

2003 fingerstyle champion Bob Evans, 2005 top five finisher Jim Earp, and me.
Jim's playing is always clean and smooth.

On Saturday, September 10, 2005, I hosted a concert to benefit survivors of hurricane Katrina. With the help of local businesses and our very generous friends we raised nearly $6400. Thanks for your support.

With 2001 fingerstyle champion Richard Smith at the Chet Atkins Convention, July 2005.

My first meeting with Tommy Emmanuel, February 2005.
